David's journey began in some of the UK's finest restaurants, where he honed his professional skills and developed a deep passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. His interest in premium, quality food took him to the high seas, where he served as a private chef on luxury yachts, catering to discerning clients and perfecting the art of personalised hospitality. The opportunity to explore world cuisines and create menus using fresh ingredients from local suppliers in every port allowed David to expand and improve his repertoire.

David later took up several residencies in New York and London, providing private chef services in family homes. Often joining established teams of household staff, David made sure his kitchen was always the heart of the operation, ever the convivial host.

Driven by a desire to bring this level of excellence to a broader audience, David established Porthia Bespoke Catering in London. The company is dedicated to delivering gourmet food and impeccable service, tailored to the unique needs of the client. Every detail is meticulously managed and every customer's needs are fulfilled.
